About Us
We were born out of a profound need to Uplift & Empower women
Zoe Women’s Mutually Aided Co-Op Thrift & Credit Society Limited was born out of a profound need to uplift and empower women, particularly those who are disadvantaged and vulnerable. Founded by the Society for Urban and Rural Enlightenment (SURE), we are committed to providing women with the resources and support they need to improve their living standards and achieve economic independence.
Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to create a community where women could come together, support each other, and grow both personally and professionally. Through the formation of producer groups in the garment, dressmaking, food processing, and service industries, we have built a network of self-owned and managed organizations that foster cooperation, resilience, and sustainability.
At Zoe Women’s Co-Op, we believe that when women thrive, families and communities prosper. Our work is not just about providing financial services; it’s about creating lasting change and empowering women to take control of their futures.
Our Impact
- Training & Employment: Over 500 women have completed our skill development programs, with many going on to start their own businesses or find employment in their chosen fields.
- Financial Inclusion: Through our CRISP services, we have provided 1000+ women with access to credit, savings, insurance, and pension plans, helping them build a more secure financial future.
- Community Building: Our producer groups have created a strong sense of community and cooperation among women, fostering an environment where members support each other and work together to achieve shared goals.
